As some of you might have seen on instagram I was busy to make my own blouse.
I did make more of my own clothes, but because of the busy exams I wasn't able to do it for a long time.
When I saw this blouse at Zara I immediately fell in love with it.
But I think €50,- for a simple blouse pretty expensive... so I made it myself for only €7,-!
When you want to make your own blouse, you have to have a sewing pattern. This is very important because you have to cut the fabric with the right size and shape. I found my pattern in a very old Burda. This is a magazine for women who make their own clothes and it's full of different patterns. Most are a little old-fashion, but I changed my pattern a little with the help of my mom so it would become the blouse I wanted.
When you cut all the pieces you need to make your own blouse you have to begin with the two most important things: oversew the front and back. Because this is a blouse, you'll have two front pieces.
It's easy to pin the parts first together, so the fabric won't slide away during the sewing.
And here's the result! I'm so proud of myself!
My mom only helped with the collar, the rest I made myself.
Sorry for the bad photo's, it was late at night haha ;-)
I bought my fabric at the fabrics market in Utrecht. They have all kind of fabrics for a very low price.
So, what do you think about my blouse? Do you like it?
The outfit pictures with my new blouse will follow soon!
